Congrats Abhinav Bindra!!

Hey,

Abhinav Bindra's achievement is all that has been hogging the news lately and I am glad about it. He truly deserves every accolade he gets. He seems to be unaffected by it, but it has got to have changed him in some way. He is India's first ever individual gold medal winner in the 108 years of Olympic history.

But the fact is he has done it all on his own. He has spent crores to go abroad and trained. He has an airconditioned shooting range in his backyard. How many people can afford that? He owes nothing to the archaic government and the sports authorities. 

Atleast we can hope that this starts an Olympics movement in our country. The government should at least invest in this current hype and try to improve the current sad situation. We have a Commonwealth game to host in 2010 and we should aim for a decent showing there.

For now, Kudos to Abhinav Bindra!! You have made the country proud!!

An Introduction..

Hey all..

This is my second attempt at blogging..hope it is more successful than my first tryst..i intend to write about some experiences and some issues which i feel strongly about..some rants...:-P

This name was chosen for the blog because a lot of other names were not available..though it suits me...
